Funeral live streaming & filming
Hi, I'm Silvis
I run Event Video Production QLD. Over the years I've streamed around 100 funeral and memorial services across South East Queensland, so family and friends who can't be there can still be part of the day.
Funerals are different from any other work I do. There's no second take, and the people watching from home, sometimes from the other side of the world, are relying on the stream to say goodbye. I treat every service with the same care and respect I'd want for my own family.
I grew up in Latvia, studied film in the UK and have lived on the Gold Coast for more than 11 years. I'm a husband and a dad.
How we look after the day
We arrive early
Usually two to three hours before the service, so everything is set up and tested well before guests arrive.
We stay in the background
Small, quiet equipment placed where it won't distract anyone, so the focus stays on the service and the family.
Clear sound, always recorded
Sound comes from the venue's system or our own microphones, and every service is recorded on site as a backup.
I look after most services myself. When I can't be there, one of the experienced crew I work with on funerals looks after the service, with the same equipment and the same checks.
Working with your funeral director
We've worked alongside funeral homes including Tobin Brothers, Simplicity Funerals, White Lady Funerals, Legacy, Dolphin and Traditional Funerals, and streamed from churches, chapels and crematoriums such as Mt Thompson and Pinnaroo. We can deal with your funeral director directly, and invoice the funeral home so the cost is included in the funeral account.
